Former U.S. Secretary of Labor Robert Reich will discuss economic inequality in the United States during a live, nationwide webcast conversation starting at 6:30 p.m. Feb. 20. The webcast will be aired in Eberly Hall, Room 110.
The webcast will follow a 5 p.m. screening of Reich’s documentary “Inequality for All,” which examines the argument that the widening income gap has had a devastating impact of the American economy.
More than 150 college campuses across the country will be participating in this event simultaneously to help raise awareness about economic inequalities in the United States.
This American Democracy Project event is free and open to the public. Doors open at 4:30 p.m.
In response to the presentation, Cal U professors will hold a multifaceted panel discussion on economic issues later this semester.
About Robert Reich
Robert Reich was the former U.S. Secretary of Labor during the Clinton administration. He is currently a Chancellor’s Professor of Public Policy at the University of California at Berkeley and a Senior Fellow at the Blum Center for Developing Economies.
Reich has written 13 books, including the best sellers“Aftershock," “The Work of Nations” and "Beyond Outrage."
