Head men’s basketball coach Bill Brown has announced that he will retire at the end of the season.

He will coach his final home game Feb. 24 in the Convocation Center.

Brown, who has spent 20 years with the Vulcans, has scored more wins than any Cal U men’s basketball coach. He currently holds a 365-207 record and a .638 winning percentage.

Brown has recorded more victories than any other active men’s basketball coach in the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference. One of just six PSAC coaches with at least 350 wins, he ranks fifth in league history in victories.

Reception and final home game

The public may join the campus community and Cal U alumni at a reception honoring coach Brown. The celebration begins at 4 p.m. Feb. 24, prior to the women’s basketball game, in the Convocation Center’s north wing. Your RSVP is requested.

The Cal U women’s basketball team faces Edinboro at 5:30 p.m. The men’s basketball team takes the court at 7:30 p.m. for their last home game with Brown on the sidelines.

Admission to the Vulcans basketball doubleheader is $5 for adults, $3 for children. Cal U students with valid CalCards, Vulcan men's basketball alumni and Cal U athletic training alumni will be admitted at no charge.
